Synopsis: Valerie, a middle-aged woman, leading an average life as a head teller at a bank finally finds her soul-mate, Franco. He's sixteen years younger and studying for a Ph.D. in Archeology, but they click. Suddenly, the evil hand of fate causes their lives to fall into a downward spiral. They lean on each other. Trying to find happiness they happen to commit a little crime - make that a little felony, and dash out of the country. Now they're happy Meet the Author: Born in Illinois, Joseph Rinaldo spent his formative years in Kentucky. He attended The Ohio State University and is an avid Buckeyes fan. OMG! Someone is writing my story!!! Jokes aside, I am sure there are plenty of women out there who can relate to the mundane existence of worker drone...but what if a few daring options were placed on the table? Option one...open yourself up to the amorous advances of a younger man? A little more socially accepted these days, what the heck! Have a little fun.No problems...and Valerie embraces it whole-heartedly. Franco is young, intelligent, ambitious and gorgeous. What more could Valerie want? Life is great! Her sex life is back in swing and Franco is fulfilling her every need...physically, mentally and emotionally. So what could possibly go wrong? To start with, Valerie's new boss...sexual harassment is her forte and she has Valerie in her sights. Then Franco's luck starts spiraling down a big hole. His funding at the university dries up and then he has the FBI breathing down his neck about stolen artifacts. So what to do? What would make this all go away? Neither Valerie or Franco deserve the treatment being dished out to them, but there doesn't seem to be any escape...until together they hatch a plan to run away to Peru...start a new life...Franco can continue his archaeological studies focusing on the Incas...and Valerie can follow her life long dream of opening her own marina. The question is at what cost? Can they afford to run away? Financially there is an answer but is Valerie prepared to risk it? Can Valerie sacrifice it all for the man she loves? And is Peru the answer? A story about the obstacles of love and what lengths people will take to have that love...whether it is theirs to take or not. An easy read, with characters that relatable and fun. While some of the topics are serious, the story will have you laughing at some of the tongue in cheek humour Mr Rinaldo places throughout the story. A book worth reading, and escape into the world of a modern day Bonnie and Clyde...all the way to Peru!
